Well hello there! This is my first post on my new blog. I want to use this blog to chronicle my life with my husband, Michael so that maybe in 5 or 10 years we can look back and see how far we've come and the things that have changed.
Since this is my first post, I'll start off by introducing myself and my family. I am 24 years old. I work a full time job and a part time job. While I'm off for the summer right now, I am also a fluctuating college student. This past semester, I took only 1 course, but this coming fall, I will be registered for 12 credit hours, so I'll be a full time student again. Michael works in software tech support. He works regular hours, but also works "on call" hours for 1 week at a time every other week. So, we work a LOT! In all of our spare time, we take care of our 3 horses (Spirit, Sundance & Tari), 2 dogs (Lucy & Bella), and the menagerie of cats, guineas, geese and ducks on the farm. Some weekends that I am lucky enough to be off of work, I try to make it to all the local barrel races that I can.
Our goals: Within the next 2 years I plan to finish school, maybe narrow down a more specific career, take a cruise, breed my horse, Tari, and possibly start looking for a long term home for us.
Right now, we are in desperate need of a vacation. We didn't take a honeymoon when we got married back in October, but we did take time a few days off of work. It just wasn't long enough, and that was the last extended amount of time we've taken together. We hope to get a small vacation together sometime this summer, however, with work, and school, we may only have time to take a quick weekend to the beach. But, I am lusting after a long cruise sometime the beginning of next year, maybe during my spring break so we can save a little bit of money by going at a non-peak time of year!
